Cat Proof Seed Growing

March 12, 2011

The artichoke seeds are starting on their first set of real leaves and have now outgrown the plastic cover on the seed tray.  I stopped by the garden center on my run today to see if they carried anything for cat-proofing your seed starting area one you can’t keep a lid on them but there aren’t really any commercially available options out there. Luckily for us we found the perfect solution tucked in the corner of our garage:

An extra large dog crate on a table looks ridiculous in the dinning room but it’s cat proof, lets in lots of light and fresh air, has room for more plants and cost us $0. Win!
