It seems there was a little bit of hail around our house while we were away for the weekend. While there wasn’t any major damage to the gardens (much to my relief!) a few veggies got banged up and we decided to pull them out of the garden to let everything else have some space. Up came a giant pile of swiss chard, one lone zucchini, a few cups of kale, five stalks of rhubarb, one giant beet (cylindra), one small beet (chioggia), a handful of carrots, three snap peas, a few Venture Blue Lake beans (green), a few Dragons Tongue bean (purple) and about 7 cups of pin cherries.
A bit of a random assortment, but already anything that can’t be frozen has already been eaten or has a place in the weekly meal plan!
