Bow Valley Provincial Park (July, 2017) – Baby’s first camping trip
Wyndham- Carseland Provincial Park (May, 2016) – Close to Calgary and easy for early season adventures.
Lower Kananaskis Lake Campground (July, 2011) – Our favourite spot (although we haven’t been back since the flood). We love the walk in spots which make it feel that we’re in the backcountry.
Beauvais Lake Provincial Park (August, 2010) – Also has nice walk in spaces and a beautiful lake to play in.
Bluerock Campground, Sheep River Provincial Park (May, 2007)
Shuswap Lake Provincial Park, Paul Lake Provincial Park and Herald Provincial Park, Shuswap, BC (July, 2016) – big campgrounds with lots of amenities. Lake access, beaches and playgrounds for kids. We liked Shuswap Lake and Herald the best since the campgrounds are located at lake level (and the lakes are pretty nice).
Outside of Canada
Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado (August, 2015)
Nehalem Bay State Park (July, 2014) – We loved this as a base camp to explore the area. Information about the campground (and what you can do from there) are scattered throughout posts: Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6 and 7
